Retail BC is pleased to announce the two winners for 2008:

Nikolina Babic of North Vancouver and Adam Pospisil of Burnaby

Adam is currently working for Sport-Chek / Coast Mountain Sports and plans to attend the Marketing Management progam at BCIT in September 2008.  Once finished the program, Adam hopes to have a career in professional sales.

Nikolina  currently works for Smart Set and plans to attend the University of British Columbia in fall.  In addition to a business degree, Nikolina plans to study French and German so that she can work internationally as a fashion buyer or marekting director.

The scholarships will be presented at the Passion for Retail event on May 6th.

Retail BC is proud to support future retailers throughout our province. This scholarship program is now in its eighth year and the support within the retail industry has been incredible!  Each year, the number of applicants grows, a reflection of the commitment of young British Columbians to succeed in their chosen retail careers.  Winners use their scholarship money to help pay tuition fees at a variety of post-secondary institutions. By combining a formal retail and business education with retail work experience, recipients of these scholarships will be the successful retailers of the future. Good luck!
